Politics has never been an easy thing and most of the time, they are just too complicated to understand. This is also the reason why most people are not paying so much attention to it not unless they are highly affected by the situation brought to them by their current Government administration. I, myself, is not too interested to it so i really don't mind seeing a lot of campaign ads posted into different walls in the street from one block to another.
But not necessarily all advertisements about political whether they are anti or pro , are boring and sophisticated. Some ads are actually made funnier in a way that it is easy for us to understand the message that they are trying to deliver like what is being done with this Political copywriter commercial showing a spoof for president Obama and Perry Belcher.

They were both animated which makes it more interesting to watch. Comparing it to a typical campaign ads which is boring and complicated, i would rather stick to this animated one because despite of the fact that it is done in a comedic way , it was able to deliver the humor or the main thoughts in a very easy way in a point that no one will question it or will leave no doubt in their minds after watching them. This can be very applicable not just to political advertisements but all kind of commercials in general. For me it has a very interesting approach that everyone will appreciate.

I was rewatching the episodes of The Big Bang Theory awhile ago. I was so busy lately because I was in a job hunting mode last week. I have been been unemployed for a year so it's time for me to enter a new career industry. Well, I am not necessarily unemployed, it's just that, I am not working under any employer because I am a freelancer though I realized that I am not receiving any benefits from that job so I decided to make it as my part time and at the same time, I will look for a new stable job. After a long week of job hunting, I was able to find one and tomorrow will be my first day. Anyway, back to The Big Bang Theory, I am really a big fan of the show and i never get tired of watching those previous episodes over and over again.
There was this episode where Sheldon, Leonard, Rajesh and Howard were playing Paintball as if they're taking the game seriously and acting like real soldiers who were sent out in a war. Sheldon suddenly came out from his hide out alone and displaying himself to their opponents and as a result, he was hit by his opponents multiple times. Leonard, Rajesh and Howard came out too to take their revenge. The gang won the paintball competition and received a trophy.
Well, it seems that Paintball is getting more and more popular nowadays, as a matter of fact, the sport has been featured many times on TV. I saw it being featured in 'Aha!" hosted by Drew Arellano last week which made me more eager to try such fun and exciting sport.
The main goal here usually is to capture the flag. You have to avoid being caught or being hit by paintball splats. There are many reasons why you guys should try or learn Paintball. Aside from being fun and exciting, Paintball is very recreational and is also safe. Though you are required to wear protective gears or better yet, get a starter kit like the Tippmann 98 Kits. I was in the mall yesterday, waiting for my friend to arrive on our meeting place when something took my attention. Budoy is a Philippine drama television series that premiered on ABS-CBN. It tackles the story of Budoy (Gerald Anderson), who is mentally challenged and his family, relationships and social issues. It topbills Gerald Anderson, Jessy Mendiola and Enrique Gil.
The story is about a well-renowned family of doctors, the Maniegos. Bound to success but with no child, Dr. Anton Maniego performed an artificial insemination to his wife Luisa. She give birth to their child "Budoy." Upon Budoy's birth is a family blessing but later on turns into the family in shame when they discover that Budoy is suffering from Angelman syndrome, which delays his intellectual development. Predicaments arises against Luisa, whom became very protected of Budoy and the rest of Maniego family. Until Budoy's fifth birthday that he gone missing and be found by Elena, the Maniego's former caretaker. Meanwhile the family decides to hide their dishonor with their abnormal son Budoy and replace him with a normal child named Benjamin. Growing up not knowing their past, Budoy and Benjamin became rivals at school and to the girl whom they both seeing.

Top 10 Protege Revealed!! Who's Your Bet?

Finally, the Top 10 Protege was revealed yesterday. After the three face off round, each mentors got their official protege who will be battling for the big break. Things are getting more intense and I'm really excited for the next round. For the mean time, I'm going to rank the top ten protege based on their performance.
(From Least to Greatest)
10. Nomer Limatog
Nomer performed "Don't Stop Believin'" by The Journey which is just okay for me. I think he should practice more on his diction but nevertheless, he did pretty well knowing that he's just 10 years old. He is the youngest Protege who made it to Top 10

9. Jensen Kyra Teñoso
Jensen performed "Stand Up for Love" by Destiny's Child. She did pretty well but I'm not really fond of screaming.

8. Rosalyn Novarro
Rosalyn performed "I Will Always Love You" but her repetitive hand gestures is quite awkward and I don't think she sang it in her own unique way.

7. So Wat?
So Wat? Performed their own version of "Aint No Mountain High Enough". The guy with the husky voice reminds me of Bruce Springsteen and obviously the best among the group.

6. Denise Barbacena
Denise sang "Pangarap na Bituin" which sounded so well and you can feel her connection to the song.

5. Krizza Neri
Krizza did an amazing performance of "No One" by Alicia Keys. She did some rapping too which is her biggest advantage among the other contestants.

4. Lirah Bermudez

Lirah performed "Hush / I Will Survive" by Pussycat Dolls. She sang it by playing her guitar which is a big plus for her. She just have to work on her diction.

3. Samantha Felizco
She's one of my bets and I love her rendition of "Rolling in the Deep" (originally performed by Adele). She nailed it and probably one of the best cover I've ever heard.

2. Lovely Embuscado
Lovely Embuscado is obviously one of the crowd's favorites but I'm not putting her on the second spot because of sympathy. I think she really has the voice and she did pretty well on her rendition of "Hurt" (Performed by Christina Aguilera). She actually reminds me of Melinda Doolittle of American idol Season 3.

1. Kenneth Monico
Kenneth wowed the judges after singing "On Bended Knee" which is supposed to be a group song. He was able to hit all the high notes and his performance is simple remarkable.

This ranking is just based on the performances they give during the Face Off round. It might vary base on their future performances.

Missing Memory Card Storage

We should be very grateful that we have phones that can do multitasks. It's pretty impressive that a small device can do so many things that none of us can ever imagine. Aside from the normal text message and call features, mobiles phones today especially those smartphones include digital camcorders, camera, radio, mobile Internet and even TV!

As for the camcorders and Camera, the phones are now using memory card to store all the photos and other related files.I mainly use my phone not for sending text messages nor giving my friends a call but to use its built in camera and save my downloaded songs to its audio player.I am currently using a
2GB Memory card, which is good enough for me since I used to transfer my files in my PC. But there are instances that my memory card got corrupted, leaving me no choice but to replace it. Just like what happened last year when we hit Manila Ocean Park to treat my little brother for his birthday. I was able to take a lot of shots but after we got home, I was surprised to see that my phone was set to Phone Storage and the Memory Card Storage was missing. I tried to input the memory card to other phones but still not being recognize. I really felt so bad because I can't even upload any pictures in my blog regarding about that trip.

Mark your calendar now because we're just few weeks away from the much awaited Korean Electronics Show of 2011. The event is set to kick off this coming October 12 and will run for 3 consecutive days (Oct 15). If you are into gadgets, that you better grab this opportunity to witness those highly innovated electronics that will be showcased at KES.
The event will feature the latest gadgets and technology related to Multimedia, Telecommunication, Industrial Electronics, medical, fashion, display , construction, IT and a whole lot more.

It is a very interesting event indeed and I'm sure everyone is so excited about this. Q1 : Is There Any Competition Involved?

This question was raised by April asking if Korea is competing against other countries most especially in Japan. Actually, there is no competition involved in this expo. According to a reliable source (Check it Here), there are undeniably larger expo than KES , most notably the IFA of Germany, the CES of America and the CEATEC of Japan. KES has proven to be one of the well trusted and most popular Electronic expo in the world too but they never compete against those larger events. Their main goal is to entertain attendees through the various kiosk displays and aesthetic designs which has been their tradition for almost 4 decades.
This is taken from the recently held KES 2010. Check how extravagant their expo was and I'm sure there are so much things stored for us this year. They said that there will be there will be over 200 booths from 24 institutes. The event this year will still be held at KINTEX, the 5th largest exhibition space in Asia.
This year the show is expected to emphasize the convergence between software and hardware. How will software meet hardware to brighten up the IT industry as well as improving the quality of our lives? The answers lie within KES 2011. (source: IT Times)

In relation to it, the event will also organize various Smart Korea Conferences that will tackle future government policies regarding IT and various government ministries.

Q2 : Robots To be Featured in the Event?

Another interesting question from our fellow blogger. I mentioned HUBO, the world's second Humanoid robot and EveR, the world's second female android in my previous post which are both amazing product of South Korea. If there are robots to be feature in the event, well, that is something that all of us should look forward to. I'm sure the event this year will give us more interesting inventions.

Q3 : What to expect from KES this year?

Last but not the least is the question from Rami Jinr. I don't have the exact details about the gadgets to be featured this year but that's definitely something to look forward to right? Technology evolves rapidly and drastically my friend so I can assure that there are so many things to expect this year.

Finally, I received my orders yesterday. I'm really not a sporty guy around here but i love watching sports live on TV. Unfortunately, here in our country, we do not pay more attention to other interesting sports. Basketball is obviously the most famous sports here. I remember when i was in high school, i went to different "try outs" and "dry run", desperately hoping that they can include me in our school's official varsity but everything turned out as failures. LOL. Maybe, sports is not really meant for me so i just satisfied myself by watching them live or watching them on tv.
It is very nice to see that Filipinos are opening their doors now to some new field of sports including football and hockey.
The Philippine National Football Team or much better known as Team Azkals made Football more popular here in our country after winning several international matches. Since then, a lot of Football training school were opened, aiming to teach kids how to play Football properly and effectively. I have heard that the Team is currently undergoing series of practices in preparation for their upcoming match.
Even though we are on a tropical country, it is pretty amazing that we have fellow Filipinos who still excel on extreme sports like Ice Hockey, snow boarding and Ice Skating. Even though we do not have Snow here and we do not have wide space for their training, they are still being recognized in this kind of sports. As a matter of fact, our country was chosen to host the first ever Asia Pacific Hockey Summit. That's why here's our fellow Filipino Hockey players, seriously practicing in preparation for the upcoming event

Attention my fellow Gleeks! We are just few weeks away from the much awaited third season of Glee. As a certified Gleek, i am really excited about this and I wonder how much this upcoming season will differ from the two previous ones. The previous season was truly amazing, there are so much drama and revelation from our beloved characters. Oh and what made me so hooked with Glee Season 2 is the special participation of our very own Charice who portrayed the role of the Filipino Exchange student named Sunshine Corazon. If in case you failed to watch the previous season, here's what you missed on Glee (lol)
►Sunshine Corazon - Yay! Charice made her first appearance on the pilot episode of the season. Sunshine and Rachel Berry sang their duet version of Lady Gaga's Telephone.
►Britney Made an Appearance! - Yes! The queen of pop music made an appearance here which made Brittany's character more noticeable. Since then, Heather Morris became one of the most likable Glee Cast member!
►Star studded! - The season 2 is indeed a star-studded season. Aside from Britney Spears, other stars who made guess appearance on the show are Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristin Chenoweth, Charice, Kathy Griffin, Loretta Devine and more.
►New Members - The season also introduced new members including Lauren Zizes, Sam Evans and also Blaine Anderson.
►So Much Drama and Revelations!- The season showed a lot of Drama and emphasized some of the characters personal issues including Sue Sylbester and the death of her sister Jean, Karofsky's true personality behind his very aggressive attitude, the feelings of Santana to Brittany and a whole lot more.
They said that the upcoming season will not be as star studded as the previous one because Ryan Murphy wants to focus more on the storyline which means we have to expect more drama and serious acting from our favorite cast members. They will minimize the number of performance per episode too and the worst, few of our favorite characters will leave the show because they will graduate from high school.
Anyway, I'm excited to see the two additional New Direction members. Probably the winners of the recently held Glee Project. Anyway, I'm sure the upcoming season has a lot of things to offer.
For the mean time, while waiting for Glee season 3 why not watch their 3D concert. It's now showing right? Or better yet, if you missed some of their previous episode, this is the right time to catch up. After all, there's really nothing to worry about it since we can now watch tv online free. Yup! That's what i usually do when I'm at the office since we do not have TV inside and I don't think we're allowed to watch while we're at work haha but i swill manage to watch my favorite tv series using my office computer. If you guys are usually depending upon your maids, well, that's not exactly our case. Well, in fairness to our mom, she taught us how to become responsible by teaching us how to do certain house chores. From the very simple floor sweeping down to washing our own clothes and dishes. According to her, this would be a great start in case we're planning to live separately from her in which we know will eventually happened soon as we build out own family.
Funny but it goes like this, my mom will usually set a schedule or a date for each of us. She will also give us our own area of responsibility. Like for example, i am in charge with the living room while my sister is in charge with the kitchen. And since I'm the eldest guy, i get most of the hardest house chores including the most stressful Carpet cleaning. We had huge carpet in the living room and our vacuum cleaner was not working properly and there were times that i have to remove the dirt manually.
Anyway, things weren't like before before because I became much busy in both my school and work. Being a working student killed most of my time and I can hardly find opportunity to do those normal house chores again. I'm not a gadget enthusiast and I'm not a techie at all. Both my pc and cellphone are quite outdated already but it doesn't really matter to me since i'm after their functions and not with their style. But there were times that i felt like i want to follow the latest trend by buying the latest mobile unit. I was just pretty amazed that you can do a lot of stuffs using a single tool most especially those phone that are capable of wireless internet connection. Not to mention their cool applications that are undeniably useful.
These mobile software development is so fascinating indeed yet they are quite complicated for a non techie guy like me . But of course, i know I can get used to it very soon.
I'm really eager to learn and exploring new things is not a bad idea at all. Car is more like the weather, it has full of attitude hahaha. Funny but it's true! Sometimes it runs smoothly giving us the best driving experience but sometimes it gives us headache, causing us so much trouble.
Actually, there were times that you can't even figure out what exactly causing the issue. It is really important to know the real and root cause of the problem so that you can prevent the same scenario in the near future.
Since I have mentioned something about the diagnostics, I think Chaz Auto have done a tremendous job in this kind of field. Clueless and Hopeless About Car Troubleshooting

Do you think it is really necessary to know the basic car troubleshooting? Way back 2007, i decided to take a technical training course about Computer technician in which i learned so much things and i learned how to fix the computer myself. There's actually a course there about Automotive but i refused to take it since i don't have a car back then. I am really not an expert when it comes to car. All i know is i need that car so that i will no longer have to commute and pay for the transportation expenses. But then i know i should, somehow, know how to fix the basic issues myself.
Just like what happened last week, i had series of issues about my car's Brake pad. I know that this is an issue that should not be ignored since brake is probably the most important parts along with the engine and exhaust system.It may put me in trouble if i live the issue as is. And I' so clueless about it.
Well, i know i can always bring my car into an auto repair shop most especially to something reputable like that Auto Body Repair Portland in Oregon.
But having at least a brief knowledge about car troubleshooting is somehow a big advantage don't you think?

When it comes to finishing material especially for your kitchen countertops, you really have to choose carefully and wisely. There are so many materials to choose from, ranging from the cheapest brand to the most expensive material. If you're thinking of buying a cheaper brand for the sake of saving your money, then better think twice because it might cost you big time in the near future. Cheap materials are not as good as its price, the quality might be very questionable and probably just a waste of money and time.
I remember we had this Ceramic tile finishing and my mom thought that she's very lucky to find a shop that offers the cheapest tile in our place. Being deceived by its price, mom decided to install the material which caused us a lot of trouble. Well first, I'm nothing against the material, Ceramic is great and it's really appealing but it all depends on it's quality and it's not as durable as the others. And so after few months, we started to see some cracks and broken tiles. It was like, whenever a strong force was applied, it will break easily. Ceramic was too brittle, giving my mom no choice but to ask for another renovation.
Well, that gave us a lesson that we have to choose the right material and we have to choose the right place to buy.

Organizing an Event

Have you ever been in an expo or exhibit? Well, I was especially during my high school days when we used to have science fair. I was once an event organizer so, somehow, i know the drill and I know how stressing it was to organize such events. There are just too many things to consider here and we have to plan every single details just to assure that the event will be held successfully.
Since I have mentioned the details, the first thing that we have to consider here is the location. We have to think of a venue that will be wide enough to accommodate all the exhibitors and the visitors.
I'm not really sure with the other event organizers, but we are also the one to provide the trade show booths. This is where they advertise their products so we have to hire someone to make the booths more appealing and to attract more visitors as well. Well, it seems that organizing events or science fair is not really my forte that's why i never take it seriously.

"GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) made a strong start this second semester of 2011 as it posted solid margins on national television ratings, as validated by broadcast industry's most trusted ratings service provider, Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
"According to full July household data (July 24 to 31 based on overnight ratings) in National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), GMA posted a total day average audience share of 34.2 points, 2.8 points ahead of ABS-CBN's 31.4; and 18.8 points higher than TV5's 15.4.
"Based on an estimated five viewers per household, the gaps translate to almost 500,000 more viewers from all over the country who favored GMA over ABS-CBN; and 3.5 million viewers who watched GMA instead of TV5.
"In the list of overall top 30 programs less specials, during the period, GMA outnumbered ABS-CBN with 16 entries. GMA was noticeably strong in the afternoon block (from 12nn to 6pm) as it won by double-digits over competitors ABS-CBN and TV5.
"In Urban Luzon, which comprises 77 percent of total television households nationwide, GMA also posted double-digit margins versus ABS-CBN and TV5 in household audience shares. GMA was 11.3 points ahead of ABS-CBN with 37.9 points versus 26.6 points. GMA was likewise ahead of TV5's 16.7 points at a larger margin of 21.2 points.
"The lead means 1.6 million more viewers in the area preferred GMA over ABS-CBN; and 3.1 million more viewers favored GMA over TV5.
"In viewer-rich Mega Manila, which makes up 58 percent of total television households nationwide, GMA scored 38.6 share points, 13.2 points ahead in this bailiwick as compared to ABS-CBN's 25.4; and 21.3 points away from TV5's 17.3 points. The figures translate to GMA having 1.5 million more viewers over ABS-CBN; and 2.4 million more viewers over TV5.
"There were 20 GMA programs in the list of overall top 30 programs less specials in Urban Luzon; while 21 GMA programs made it to the same list in Mega Manila. In the top 10 roster, GMA almost made a clean sweep with nine entries in Mega Manila, and seven in Urban Luzon.
"Amaya, Munting Heredera, and Eat Bulaga were the top three programs in both areas. Other GMA programs that made it to the top 10 lists in Urban Luzon and Mega Manila include Captain Barbell, 24 Oras, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, and Kap's Amazing Stories.
"Manny Pacquiao's Manny Many Prizes also made a hit debut last July 16 as it surpassed ABS-CBN's TV Patrol Weekend and Wansapanataym in Mega Manila weekend primetime ratings.
"Richard Gutierrez's Captain Barbell made a heroic bow during its last episode on July 29 as it beat ABS-CBN's top primetime contender 100 Days To Heaven, which is now up against Marian Rivera's epicserye Amaya, in Mega Manila and Urban Luzon.
"Nielsen translates one rating point in NUTAM to 90,890 households and 421,530 viewers. In Urban Luzon, one rating point equals 69,700 households and 320,350 individuals; while in Mega Manila, one rating point is equivalent to 52,470 households and 239,070 individuals.
"The Nielsen TV Audience Measurement used by GMA is used by 21 companies including two other local networks, namely, TV5 and Solar Entertainment; Faulkner Media; CBN Asia; 13 advertising agencies and three regional clients. On the other hand, ABS-CBN is the only major local TV network reportedly subscribing to Kantar Media, formerly known as TNS.
"In Mega Manila alone, the Nielsen TV Audience Measurement has a sample size of 880 homes as compared to Kantar Media's 770 homes. Nationwide, Nielsen has a total sample size of 2,005 homes compared to the lower sample size of 1,370 utilized by Kantar Media."

Plugging to the Wrong Power Outlets

Have you ever experience plugging a 220 Volt device into a 110 Volt and vice versa? Well, i did and it happen to me several time already. Okay, I know i am such a clumsy , careless and useless boy here and i used to commit such mistakes. As a matter of fact, mom used to put tags in each electrical appliances that we have in our house just to help me identify which is a 220 volt device and which is a 110 volt device and also to avoid possible short circuit. She labeled the outlets too haha.

Plugging a 220 volt device to a 110 volt outlet will not affect your device obviously before the source is not enough to make the appliance work but if you plug a 110 Volt device into 220 volt outlet, then there's a bigger tendency to have a short circuit, damaging both your device and the entire electricity system around your house as well.
If that's the case, then you need to contact both a Technician and an Electrician to fix them for you. You need to bring your damaged device to a technician to fix it and you need to consult an Electrician to fix the damaged electrical system (most likely, they will replace the fuse).
Don't dare fix it yourself because it's too dangerous. Remember that you're dealing with electrical wiring here and there's a live electricity flowing to them so better leave it to the experts.

Save The Environment , Save the World

Come on, let's open our mind now. Global financial crisis is not just the topic that we should be taking care of. Just look around you, see how our planet gasping for breath right now, see how polluted our environment is, this is a serious matter and something that we should not be ignoring about. We were already threatened by the the incident happened in Japan and we should be expecting more scenarios like this if we continuously ignore this issue. It's time for us to move, to take some actions and to pay more attention on how to save our environment. Joining an advocacy campaign that promotes ecological consciousness and environment sensitivity would be a great start but remember that these campaigns are intended only to give us awareness. Saving the environment is more than just being a part of an advocacy campaign or participating in a Run-for-a-cause events. Take note that saving the environment is a continuous process and if you really want to change our world for good, then start doing it all by yourself in your own simple yet very special way. Blaming it to the government is just a waste of time because if you're going to analyze everything, we , humans, in general is the major cause of all these environmental issues.
Just think of the global warming, the climate change, acid rain, drought, flash floods and other forms of natural catastrophes, aren't they enough to tell us that we should do our best to help our suffering mother nature. Of course you can't do that alone but you can start changing in your own simple way.
► It might be tough but volunteering your self into a environmental awareness campaign is such a good act. It won't cost you anything but your time. Most of these organizations are relying on volunteers for marketing, organization and labor efforts so please do take a part.
► Always practice the so called "RRR" or reduce, reuse, recycle. It plays a vital role in conserving energy and preserving the mother earth.
► Purchase only things that we only need and eat only what you can. Or maybe, you support those eco-friendly products. Items that will bring no harm to our environment. Time really run out so fast. It's already August, the last one before the "ber" months arrive. Oh and that means,Christmas is about to come and I hope you guys will have a great holiday. Once again, we have one more reason to be very proud of our nationality as two Fil-Ams successfully made it to the Top 10 finalists of a hit American reality show, So You Think You Can Dance.

Both of them are into different style of dancing. Gadduang is more into Hip Hop while Germar is more of Contemporary Jazz.

Being Single

I'm 22 years old now and I'm still single. Well, being single is not bad at all. In fact, you can do a lot of things and you feel that you are free if you are not committed with someone. But of course, we are just man and we just can’t live alone forever.
There were times that most of my friends teased me that i will become an old bachelor guy forever which is something i really don't want to happen. I want to have a family of my own, live with my wife and raise my kids. Unfortunately, I am quite busy with both my school and work and I can hardly find time to look for someone and be committed.
Well, i know that i am not getting any younger but that doesn't mean that i have to rush myself and find a partner immediately. It is a process, a very long one!

Blame it to My Spasm

I never had a chance to take photos perfectly. No matter how hard i try, i will still end up with a disastrous outcome haha. Well, simply because i don't know how to cure my spasm and my hands are always shaky and it's quite a discomfort feeling on my part. They said that i should avoid repetitive strain since that is one of the major causes of muscle spasms. They also advised me to contact a physician to provide immediate cure to it. I know mine is just a mild case but it is still not a big joke because i can't do things effectively.
Going back to the photos, mine are always blurry mainly because of the camera shake. This is the reason why we used to hire professional photographer whenever there's a special event like graduation, reunion or wedding. It is a must actually because those are very special events and the only way to recall those moments are by looking at the photos. Here they come again!! The bills just arrived yesterday and they came so early this month. I was actually expecting that they will arrive next week. Well the bills come early or late, i still have to pay them anyway haha.
I actually have a budget for them but because I have to pay for other expenses (which came unexpectedly), it seems that I will experience some sort of financial shortcomings this month. Oh well, that's part of the life especially for a breadwinner like me.
Being a breadwinner is not a big joke because you have so many responsibilities to fulfill. Ever since my dad suffered from stroke which made half of his body almost paralyzed, i took all his responsibilities. Since then, i am the one who support my family financially. Quite stressing indeed but for the sake of them, i can bear all these sacrifices. And besides, i know God is always with me guiding me all the way.
Back to the possible shortcoming this month, i think i might consider getting one of those payday loans online. It is pretty in demand today and I have tried them several times already. X-Men: First Class

Sorry for my late post about this film. We have watched X-men First Class few weeks ago and I can confidently say that it is one of the most satisfying X-men movies that i have ever seen. Not just because of their amazing graphics and special effects but also because of their revelations. For someone who failed to read the early X-men comics, well, who would have thought that Charles Xavier and Magneto were once friends right??

The film plot is not as boring as the Green Lantern. It has an amazing plot line and you can get all the details completely without leaving you any confusion. In exception to kids like my Lil bro, who was so confused because he was not familiar with any X-men characters but he loved the fight scenes a lot.
The film offered some cool revelations aside from Charles and Magneto's relationship. Mystique's character here is much lighter and surprisingly likeable haha.
Hank Mccoy's story was revealed too.
Other X-men pioneers made their appearance too such as Havok, Banshee, Emma Frost, and also Moira MacTaggert.
Though there are also some conflicts in the story Banshee is the original love interest of Moira and not Charles Xavier.
Because of this film, the X-men Origins: Magneto will not be produced because X-men First Class supersedes" the story of the planned film.
Overall, i really enjoyed the film.

Oh and because of this film, Milzon and I decided to watch X-men Evolution animated series again.

Making Decisions

When i was staying with my Tita Thess, I remember she decided to renovate her house as requested by her hubby too who was currently working in Kuwait that time. As far as i can remember, the renovation took almost four months before we see the actual result. It was quite a challenge for both me, my tita and my cousin to decide whether we should stay first on her in-laws while the house is being renovated but we ended up deciding to stay in her house so that we can monitor the workers too.

I was working that time so didn't help that much in monitoring except for weekends since i have no work during those time but my auntie used to approach me when it comes to making decisions. Well, I know i do not have any rights in making decisions since it is not my house on the very first place but she used to ask me just to help her and then she will suggest it to her hubby for approval. I remember she once asked me whether she will install jalousie windows again or replace it with sliding glass windows. I confidently told her to make use of the sliding window not just because of it's elegant appearance but also because of the protection that these windows can provide. They are energy efficient too. And as you can see on the photo I shared above, Tita Thess decided to install sliding windows in most of their rooms. Actually she hired a different worker for this one since the carpenters that she hired do not have any idea on how to install it. Golf as a Stress Reliever?

One good thing about playing golf is that it doesn't require any age. Teens and oldies are so welcome to play this game as long as they know the rules and much better if they know how to play it effectively. It's always been a dream to me to play golf though i never get any chance because of my work. Being a full time web writer and a full time tutor took almost all of my time, making it so impossible for me to enter such kind of activity.
I've been reading some sport related magazine about the advantage of playing golf. It is actually like playing a real life mind boggling puzzle since you have to think creatively and strategically on how to shoot the ball into the hole. But despite of being mind twisting, golf is considered as a perfect stress reliever especially if you were able to finish the standard 18 golf courses.
But of course, if you are a beginner and inexperience, then most likely, you'll find the game quite complicated at first and completing each courses will not be as easy. But then, with proper training and continuous process, I'm sure you can finish the game with no ease.
I guess the reason why they are considering Golf as a perfect stress reliever is because of the gaming area. Golf is usually done in a wide green field, giving you an opportunity to smell the fresh air, embrace the nature and will also help you to concentrate and focus more on your moves before executing your shot.
It is a great sport indeed. I wish I have time for this and if ever i get a chance, i hope i could find something like those Golf Courses Portland in Oregon that i saw from the web.

Kung Fu Panda 2

You guys have watched Kung Fu Panda 2? Not yet? Don't worry , i will not spoil the film by this post. Milzon, Mirasol and I had so much fun after watching the said film yesterday. It's really nice to see Po and his troupes again. The sequel is not as great as the first installment but still worth watching for. Again, they brought up some notable one liners like
"Your story may not have such a happy beginning but that doesn't make you who you are, it is the rest of your story, who you choose to be" from the Soothsayer.
"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift. That is why it is called 'Present'" from Master Shifu.
"You should Shen. You got to let go of the stuff from past, because it just doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what you choose to be now." from Po.

Mah Jong Time

I just found my new pastime hobby in the nature of Mah Jong! Haha. Okay, don't get me wrong. I am not a gambling hustler here, I just want to grab this opportunity to spend my time and enjoy the remaining days of summer. As you all know, classes will be restored very soon and I will be very busy again and that means, i will no longer have enough time for these activities so why not make the most out of the remaining days of summer right?
Anyway, cousin Ichan and I had so much fun last week as we invited some of his friends to play with us. It was just a friendly game with friendly bets LOL.
There are different ways to play Mah Jong and in fact, you can even play it in solo. But then it would be great if you will play it opposing other players right? You can place bets too to make it more challenging. If you are a first time Mah Jong player, you may find the game quite complicated at the beginning but you can get used to it soon.
Anyway, aside from Mah Jong, we used to play card games too like Poker and Blackjack. Yikes! How I wish I still have time for this games once the classes are being resumed.

I am not a game enthusiast here but i am a certified game lover ever since i was in high school. I have played different games from different genre, from PlayStation 1 up to the Xbox 360. Name it! I tried them all though i am kinda choosy when it comes to games. As much as possible, I want those Role Playing Games, those with creative storyline as if you can put yourself into the game. Time really run out so fast don't yah think? It seems that it was just yesterday when American Idol held their audition and we were like placing our bets who among the 13 lucky finalist will win the Idol. Well, the Finale went very predictable. I knew it was Scotty and i guess most of you feel the smae way. The Finale Showdown between the two wasn't really exciting but i can say that Lauren did a great job despite of the fact that she had some issues with her vocal chords that night. Among the two winning songs, I really enjoy Scotty's I Love You This Big". It's like listening to an old style country over the radio.
Anyway, the Finale is really exciting and their guests will really make you sing "I Love American Idol this Big" LOL. Who would have thought Tom Jones will make an appearance on Idol huh? The two diva mentors also performed on Stage, promoting their new singles. Yup! I called Lady Gaga a Diva after her very amazing performance on Idol. Gosh! She showcased her vocal range on her song "The Edge of Glory" and i was like... "Wow, Lady Gaga can really sing". Beyonce on the other hand, sang 1 plus 1.
It is also nice to see the Top 13 performing again. Also the Jack Black- Casey tandem. That's really funny! Oh! Gladys Knight was also in the Finale, performed with Jacob Lusk. Also Tony Bennett as he performed with the dearest Haley Reinhart. Tim Mcgraw, Carrie Underwood, Lil John also performed in the Finale.
And of course, the main event , Scotty was hailed as the 10th American Idol Winner.

Commuting Again!

Yikes! I just can't believe it! I am commuting again after that horrible incident happened in my dad's car. Oh well, there's no one to be blamed here but me. I borrowed my dad's car last week and decided to hit Baguio to visit a friend of mine. I did it with permission of course but i failed to check its condition before driving that far. Traveling from Cavite to Baguio will take you 2 to 3 hours of driving since it is miles away from our place. It is my best friend's wedding and i really have to be there no matter what.
Well, I failed to check the engine before i decided to go so while i am in the middle of my driving, the car suddenly stopped and in my surprised, i saw the front engine smoking. I was like terrified that time since i didn't know what to do. I wish i could fix it myself but i don't have any knowledge about troubleshooting. And so i ended up leaving my dad's car and hire a taxi instead for the sake of my friend's wedding LOL.
And then, i decided to call for a technician to pick up my car and bring it to their shop. And for some reasons, the car is still on their shop, trying to repair the issue. Oh God! What have I done? Is it really that serious? I hope this shop is not taking advantage of me because i just can't see any reason why i have to wait this long. I guess if i bring it on a shop like that Auto Repair Beaverton in Oregon, I'm sure the issue with my car can be fixed in no time. I have heard so many good things about their company and I wish i could find the same thing here in my area. Anyway, i have no choice but to commute again while the car is still on the repair shop. Sobs!

My Dad's Recovery

It was way back 2001 when my dad suffered from mild stroke which made him disabled and unable to work. As a consequence of being the elder, i took his responsibility and became the breadwinner of our family. Being the breadwinner is kinda stressing, tiring yet, a very rewarding experience especially if I can see the fruits of all my labor.
My dad's brain got damage so bad after he collapsed in our bathroom which made his condition even worst. It took him almost a year after partially being recovered from that nightmare. Right now, he is undergoing series of therapies and medication towards his full recovery. Actually they have tried different alternative treatments already because most of his early medical therapies seem not working really effectively to him. After his stroke, half of his body is like paralyzed but thanks God, because of his continuous medication, he was able to move his left arm and feet a bit. It is such a big improvement already and we're happy to see that all our sacrifices worth it. I can see it in my dad that he's really sincere and determine to recover. I can feel it in him and I wish all the best in him towards his faster recovery.
Speaking of this alternative medicine, I have read about this so-called Chiropractic Therapy and I guess it is really perfect for my dad knowing that that therapy used to deal with spinal and mascular conditions. Oh God, tonight, we will find out who among Scotty McCreery, Haley Reinhart and Lauren Alaina will make it to the much awaited Season Finale. Is this tonight elimination result will be another shocking day on Idol? Anyway, have you watched their performances last night? Who do you think is the best? Here's my verdict,

Honestly, i love all Scotty songs especially his rendition of Kenny Roger's She Believes in Me. However, it seems that Scotty can't do anything other than country. I am a big fan of this guy but if you keep him hearing the same tone of voice and the same style, i guess that's a little boring right? He should take a risk if ever he made it to the finale. He should prove that he can do something else.

I am not a Haley fan since the beginning of the season. Not until the latter part where Haley show her versatile she is. Oh and she's a professional one. I guess all of you are aware about what happened to her during her Zappelin performance right? She feel and stumble but she managed to deliver her song well. So i admit, from being a hater, i am starting to love Haley now and i want her to win. Seriously! Because of all the three remaining finalists, only Reinhart shows the versatility. She can really sing and she can sing anything!

As for Lauren, well she did well in some of her songs though most of it didn't show her poweful country vocals. I guess, she's too immature for this and is not ready to hit it big time. Anyway, i love her "I Hope you Dance" version.

My verdict? I can see Haley and Scotty on the finale. How about you?

American Idol Season 10 Top 3: Who's Your Bet?

We only have few weeks left before the much awaited Finale but before that, The remaining 3 idol contestants Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery will go back to their hometown to celebrate their victory. For me, this season is way much better than the 4 previous ones. It is full of surprises and it is very undeniable that all the contestants are talented, makign the Season 10 Winner unpredictable.

Haley who was a former resident of the Bottom 3 proved herself that she really have what it takes to be the next American Idol. She was such a Dark horse and know one speculated that she can make it up to the top 3 in the beginning. But look how huge her fan base is now.

Scotty is the only guy left from the competition. After eliminating girls consecutively, it seems that the audience became aware how important it is to vote for their idols despite of delivering a nice performance.

Lauren Alaina is one of the strongest contender in the show, she might be the next Carrie Underwood if ever she won this competition.

Missing My Lola

I remember when my late Lola was rushed in the Hospital a year ago, we are all horrified because we do not know what to do! We are all in shocked. I know that my Grandma was not getting any younger but i am not expecting that her condition will become worst. I was really disappointed to myself for not spending my time with her. She was calling me over the phone almost every week asking me to visit her and to drop by to her house to see her but i was too busy that time and my schedule won't allow me. I wish i could turn back those time and correct all my mistakes but then it's too late for me to regret it.
My Grandma was diagnosed to have Liver Cancer and that made her so weak and her condition became worst every day. Not to mention her Glaucoma that made her almost blind. Jacob Lusk is out! Finally, Jacob was eliminated last week after giving all his best. The remaining top 5 sang 2 different songs. One old and one current. Jacob sang "No Air" by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown which went a little bit over-the-top for me and he also sang "Love Hurts" which sounded like a man singing on a Karaoke bar. I just hate the screaming part and for me, he should learn how to control his emotions while singing. It was like he was about to cry every time he sings and that was so annoying.

Well, i like his gospel songs and i love his rendition of "A House is not a Home" and "Dancing with my father". This Male-Diva should be very proud for reaching the Top Five spot which prove himself that he is a great singer and he has a huge fan base too.
I am so excited about the remaining Top 4. I am not so sure about the theme next week but i have heard some rumors that Lady Gaga will mentor the Idol. Well, that is not a good thing!!! Lady Gaga???? Come on? She can't even sing well.... damn it.

It's summer and i know most of you are already planning to hit the beach right? My friends are also inviting me to join them this summer vacation but i have to refuse this time since i have so many works to do. Anyway, I never been a Stefano fan but i never dislike his performances except last week. It was actually the worst of all his performances on Idol stage. Well, at least, being in the Top 7, he should be very proud right?

It's been months now since the last time that we had a major renovation at home. Mom hired some workers to help us out in renovating the house completely. Summer Retreat!

Finally Summer is here which means the much awaited Summer Youth Camp will be held very soon. I am the Youth Ministry Leader for the past three years but then Pastor Rommel transferred me to the Children Ministry and guide the kids though i am still an active member of the Youth Club. The Summer Youth Camp is held every summer. This spiritual retreat will allow you to reflect, pray and meditate. Last year was fun but this year will be more exciting for all of us because kids in the Children Ministry will be joining the camp too! This sounds like Milzon, Mirasol and I will be joining the retreat together and we are both excited about this.
I just got the Youth Camp Manual which shows all the possible fun activities to be held on that day. Our venue this year will be on Tagaytay, one of Philippines' best summer destination. But of course, we will not be there just for fun! There will be pastors from other churches that will preach us and will share inspirational stories to us. Last year, we had Bro. Jimmy, an ex-drug addict who shared his experience on how he got on that situation and how he was able to overcome that nightmare. I'm sure they will make this year extra special knowing that the Church will celebrate it's 20th anniversary. I have heard that they are planning to held some cool games for kids which will definitely make this Summer Youth Camp more adventurous for them. I think i better start looking for a travel bag or a laundry bag and prepare our things. We will stay there for a week so we really need to bring more clothes especially for Milzon. I will be responsible for my siblings if ever something happened to them during our trip so i better keep an eye on them or else mom and dad will get angry of me. I'll ask Mirasol to bring one of her personalized tote bags so that she have enough space to place all the necessary things like the medicine, vitamins, first aid kit and the insect repellent cream.
Anyway, while were waiting for the announcement of dates for our Summer Youth Camp, I will keep myself busy first in helping my mom in her garden. Fully Equipped

I was really disappointed with my previous Gym as they are lacking a lot of gym equipments and they're space is not enough to accommodate all of its members. I really lost my motivation after that so i quit my membership and started to train myself at home instead by buying a gym equipment for my own. Well of course my house is not enough to occupy 2 or more gym equipments and besides i only need a gym equipment that can burn fat easily so i ended up buying a Stationary Bike and placed it inside my room. However, this kind of equipment is not enough to help me out achieving my desired build.
I was pretty surprised yesterday when i saw my previous gym newly renovated and it seems that their gym is now fully equipped with those new gym equipments. I don't know what the heck just happened there but it seems that it is an all new shop already and made me regret for leaving their gym and taking out my membership. In fact, my former gym instructor is encouraging me to come back in which i will certainly do very soon. I think the owner of the shop rented new gym equipments to a Equipment Leasing company to make their gym more appealing and in order to attract more customers. Well, i think i made the wrong decision for leaving the gym so early and in order to become a member, i have to pay the membership fee again. Sobs!~

Oh God, i desperately wanted to have the new version of Ipad and I am setting it now as one of my goals this year.
