Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga Remake

After ten years GMA Network decided to do a remake of "Sana ay Ikaw na nga" a hit teleserye back in 2001 starring Tanya Garcia and Dingong Dantes.The show lasted for two years it revolves on the story of how a rich man named Carlos Miguel Altamento and a poor bario girl named Cecilla Fulgencio love one another defy all odds.Now the remake will be portrayed by Andrrea Torres and Mikael Daez new experimental love team right? we'll see how it goes. the show will replace "kasalanan bang ibigin ka" this september 3.

Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa to replace Hiram na Puso

After Faithfully, GMA comes up with another drama series to replace "Hiram na Puso" which will be ending this coming July 6. The series is entitled "Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa" starring Jennelyn Mercado and Sid Lucero. No further details has been released yet but it follows a story of a happy family which is being devoured because some unwanted events , mystery and revelations from their past. These revelations will serve as the greatest challenge for their family that will measure their strength , faith and love for each other. How are they going to settle this issue? How Jennelyn can escape from such burden? How can she save her family from tearing apart?
The series is set to premiere on July 9, 2012. Cast members include Frank Magalona, Krystal Reyes, Saab Magalona, Carl Guevera, Glydel Mercado and Angelu De Leon. Under the direction of Gil Tejada.
►This is Jennelyn Mercado's next drama series after "Futbolilits".
► This is Sid Lucero's first afternoon drama series after "Amaya" and "Legacy" which are both in the prime time slots.
► As far as I know , the drama is also filled with mystery but no further details yet.
► Angelu De Leon will be the main antagonist.

Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin Remake

Barbie Forteza, Joyce Ching, Joshua Dionisio and Kristofer Martin are set to reprise the roles of Angelika Dela Cruz, Sunshine Dizon, Sherwin Ordoñes and Cogie Dominggo in "Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin". The Primetime soap is confirmed to have a remake for Daytime Television after 10 years

►This series marked the comeback of GMA 7's soap opera.
►Sunshine Dizon's character was killed because of the controversy between her and Angelika dela Cruz. But dela Cruz denied the issue while Dizon's reason is her new soap Kung Mawawala Ka and she doesn't want to play an antagonist role.
►Sunshine was killed in a cemetery, with dynamites surrounding her and died in explosion.
►LJ Moreno replaced Dizon as the villain when Dizon's character was killed.
►This is Richard Gutierrez' first appreance in a primetime drama series.
►Sherwin Ordoñes Character was thought to be killed but went back to reprise his role.
►The final confrontation of Amara Luna and Catherine was held in a Carnaval.

It seems that GMA Network sustained their lead in both Day time and Primetime race. Eat Bulaga remains indisputable on their timeslot, so as Munting Heredera in the Primetime slot followed by Marian Rivera's Amaya and Time of My Life top billed by Kris Bernal and Mark Herras.

GMA took the Lead

GMA Network took the lead once again, sweeping almost all its rival programs. So glad that Captain Barbell (despite of their horrible story line and special effects) managed to beat "100 Days to Heaven". Amaya remains to be the strongest contender in Primetime race so as "Munting Heredera". Eat Bulaga on the other hand is still on the first spot in the Day time race.

Amaya, an EpicSerye

The Queen of Primetime will soon dominate our nights again with her newest primetime series this May. Marian Rivera will play Amaya, the protaganist of the first ever epicserye with the same title. Amaya is said to be the biggest and the most expensive production in Philippine Tv History and will change the landscape of Philippine tv.
Amaya is a woman blessed with extraordinary powers, which she will use to lead her people in a time dominated by males. It is a star studded production too.
The cast includes Mikael Daez, Sid Lucero, Glaiza De Casto, Rochelle Pangilinan, Lani Mercado, Raymod Bagatsing, Gardo Versosa, and a whole lot more.
So excited about this. Let see if GMA will regain their glorious primetime days via Amaya

GMA's Dwarfina

I hope GMA's Dwarfina will not be as boring as Grazilda and The Last Prince. I've been an avid Kapuso but i started to feel boring with some of GMA primetime shows. I don't know what's happening but GMA loses out their creativity in making such a high quality shows. I also don't have any idea why they keep on making shows that are fairy tale inspired. The Last Prince is probably the worst fantasy series ever! It seems that they are not paying so much effort in their primetime shows unlike what they did with Encantadia and Mulawin.
People are now looking for something new to their eyes. No wonder why TV 5 is starting to dominate Mega Manila because they offered light and unusual shows to their audience.
And now that Dwarfina is obviously inspired from Thumbelina story, i hope it will not be as boring as the others. Please remove those ugly twists and please never make the story boring because if that would happen, i guess i'll be switching my channel to Tv 5 too!

GMA Upcoming 2011 Shows

GMA once again offer amazing line up of shows this new year. They will definitely make this year a big bang with their upcoming shows. Above is the teaser of the upcoming 2011 shows of GMA.
The first one is I Heart you Pare, starring Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Ding Dong Dantes. It must be a good romantic comedy duo.
The second one is the Snow White and Thumbelina inspired story, Dwarfina starring Heart Evangelista as Dwarfina.
Marian will be the warrior princess Amaya. Another high budget production from GMA.
Aljur Abrenica will be the new Machete and will be teamed up with Ryza Cenon and Bella Padilla.
Last but not the least, Richrad will be reprising his character again as Cpatain Barbell. This time together with Jillian Ward as his psychic.

Pilyang Kerubin Final Episode

GMA's top rated program entitled "Pilyang Kerubin" top billed by Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio. After Lanie (played by Ina Feleo) was tempted and betrayed by Aroo(John Lapus) to sign a contract. Charity tried to save her mother's soul by offering her self to Aroo

Aroo tells Charity that she was too late to save her mother. Charity offers her soul in exchange for her mother's. Aroo and Azura agree, but later cheats them by taking Charity's soul AND her mother's. Lanie tries to talk the two demons into letting her daughter go because she is not part of the deal they made. God was happy with Lanie's sacrifice and offers Lanie a place in heaven. Lanie says good bye to her daughter and asks her to tell Arman that she loves him and has learned to let go of Arman. Afterwards, Lanie is taken to heaven, But Charity's wings were taken away because she still has missions to do. Charity starts to blame herself for her mother's death, but Arman tells her not to blame herself. Charity tells Arman what Lanie told her. Melissa and Michael arrive at Lanie's funeral to offer their condolences. Afterwards, in heaven, San Pedro, Elijah, Noah, and Angelica watch Arman and Melissa's wedding. Elijah narrates that Arman's working partners Lito and Rosalie are now a couple after Rosalie saves Lito's life when they attacked Jonas when Jonas kidnapped Melissa. Aaron still hasn't admitted to Isabel that he loves her. Michael and Charity's friendship grew stronger and are helping each other in Charity's missions to regain her wings. During the ceremony, Aaron admits to Isabel that he loves her, but Isabel didn't hear him, so Michael and Charity say it for Aaron. Michael puts his arm around Charity, but Angelica appears to both of them, warning Michael not to do that because she is Charity's guardian angel, while Noah also appears to both of them telling Michael how unlucky he is because Angelica is a strict guardian angel. Michael starts praying to God to apologize and because he thinks he is being haunted. Meanwhile, Aroo and Azura tries to get Charity's soul, but cannot enter the church, and in the process they knock off a flower vase, surprising everyone as the story comes to a close.(info taken from Wikipedia)
I rate this show 3 out of 5. The story line failed to show continuity. After several missions, the story seems forwarded too fast. Nevertheless, i can't say nothing against the actors and casts of Pilyang Kerubin. But if i will compare the show to ABS-CBN's "May Bukas Pa", i will still go for May Bukas Pa.

Do You Love Jolina Magdangal's New Looks

This is Jolina Magdangal during her Teenage years. She used to be an icon because of her unique fashion statement.

This is the new Jolina after reinventing her image.

I hate Jolina Magdangal's new look. I don't want to be harsh but as an avid viewer, i guess it's quite inappropriate for her age to dress like Lady Gaga or something. Okay, we know the fact that she's doing this to promote her new magazine entitled "Icon". Well, yes she's a fashion icon but that's way back 90's. I like her wholesome image than her new look. If this is a career move or for promotional purposes only, for me it's not working out. She will still be in the main cast of "Party Pilipinas", in replacement for SOP. Now, i'm just wishing to see the wholesome Jolina. It is okay to dress like Lady Gaga for entertainment or performance purposes, but immortalizing it is not a great idea.

First Time

I really enjoy watching GMA's "First Time". First Time is a teen-Philippine drama developed by Kit Langit and directed by Andoy Ranay. The series premiered on GMA Network on February 8, 2010 starring Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio, who were previously paired in Stairway to Heaven and Dear Friend: My Christmas List. The story is about Cyndi and Lukas who are a couple of teenagers who met one summer at the beach. Their newfound friendship is immediately put to the test after Lukas’ mother dies from a mysterious accident, which resulted in his father's decision to live abroad. And just like that, Cyndi and Lukas, albeit unwillingly, said their goodbyes. "First Time" is airing from Monday to Friday before 24 Oras.

Meanwhile, I am so excited to Watch Cats In Manila. Lea Salonga will play Grizabella in Lunchbox Theatrical Productions’ staging of Cats in Manila. It will run for four weeks starting in July 2010, with a gala night and weekend matinees, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

"May Bukas Pa" on its Final Week

ABS-CBN top rated Drama series, May Bukas Pa, is now on its final week. This will be the 38th and final chapter of this top rated drama. May Bukas Pa started airing on February 2, 2009. Supposedly, the show would air until the end of June or first week of July after its initial 20 weeks extension last February. However, due to its ratings success, after the Thanksgiving Mass attended by some of the bosses of ABS-CBN and all artist and crew of the show last Monday, Cory Vidanes (station's television head) announced that the airing of the show will be extended until February 2010. May Bukas Pa is all about Santino (Zaijan Jaranilla) who was abandoned by his mother in a monastery. Santino was raised by the caring priests Father Anthony, Father Jose (, and Father Ringo. As a young boy, Santino will find a friend in a mysterious person named “Bro” who will help him change the lives of the people in their town. May Bukas Pa is a story that is set to open the eyes of viewers that there will always be hope amidst trials and difficulties. Miracles don’t just fall from heaven but comes to those who keep their faith. The show also received multiple awards for promoting moral values to its viewers. On its latest episode, Tilde kidnaps Joy In order to assure that Santino will be granting her request. Tilde has a colon cancer which may harm her baby inside her womb. Catch May Bukas Pa on its final 3 episodes at ABS- CBN primetime.

Meanwhile, GMA's top rated fantaserye, Darna, is now on its final 13 days. Darna will be facing her toughest enemies Valentina, Serpina and Cobra and the returning villain, Babaeng Impakta played by Nadine Samonte. I hope, to make the ending more special, all her previous villains like Babaeng Tuod, Babaeng Linta, Babaeng Lawin, Demonyita, Elektra, Mananangala and Bampira will return and join forces to fight against Darna. (Just hoping for a good ending) The previous Darna played by Angel Locsin ends up not so satisfying for me so i'm hoping that this Darna will give their best and effort to have a special ending.

4 New Kapuso Stars

It's final and it's confirmed that there will be four new celebrities who will join the growing family of Kapuso in GMA 7. And take note, they're not just celebrities, they are high-profile talents from ABS-CBN
These stars includes

Comedian Bayani Agbayani turns Kapuso. He signed a two year contract with GMA. Bayani was formerly a Kapuso Star before wayback to 90's where in he is working as a production crew in the shows Katok Mga Misis and Salo-Salo Together.
But this time, he will go back to GMA as a hig profile comedian. According to the news, he will be included in the cast of "Todo Bigay" together with Mommy Dionisia and Manny Pacquiao. He will be one of the casting memer of one of the upcoiming GMA show entitled "First Luv"

Another ABS-CBN high profile celebrity turn Kapuso is no other than Ms Susan Roces. She signed a contract with GMA for its upcoming Chistmas-serye which will be aired in primetime slot. The Christmaserye is entitled "Sana Ngayong Pasko", that will run for five weeks on GMA Telebabad.

Another actor turned Kapuso is Christopher De Leon. Boyet will be a part of the casting member of Sana Ngayong Pasko together with Ms. Susan Roces.

Another ABS-CBN talent who became a Kapuso Star is Claudine Barreto. who became a talk of the town.laudine Barretto has ended her 17-year stay with ABS-CBN when she signed a two-year contract with rival network GMA-7 yesterday afternoon.

Hearsays about Claudine Barretto's career move with GMA-7 are finally laid to rest when ABS-CBN's A-list actress, with her parents, met with Kapuso top executives Atty. Felipe Gozon (CEO and President), Jimmy Duavit (COO and Vice President), Annette Gozon Abrogar (GMA Films President), and Wilma Galvante (SVP for Entertainment TV).

Despite the abrupt decision, Barretto is enthused by the prospect of her project line-ups and the possibilty of working with husband Raymart Santiago.

In a report from Pep.ph, Barretto related to Lhar Santiago how a movie collaboration between Viva Films and GMA Films, where she stars, paved the way to what she considers as her second big career move this year since her two-year picture contract with Viva Films last October.

The Pinoy Remake of Full House

So it's final. GMA is finally set for their newest telebabad primetime show entitled "Full House". Full house is the pinoy remake of the same title starring Richard Guitirez as Justin and Heart evangelista as Jessie. The comdedy series is under the direction of Mark A. Reyes and developed by Aloy Adlawan. The series will premiere on November 30, 2009. The story is all about Jessie who is a naive writer who got swindled out of everything she owned including her house by her sister, Lisette and her husband, Donald. Stranded in Prague, she managed to borrow money from famous actor Justin to return to the Philippines. On her return, she found out that her house was bought by Justin. In an attempt to get her possessions back, she entered in a contract marriage with Justin for one year. In spite of losing all, Jessie manages to be cheerful and takes things in strike and the business relationship between the two becomes personal as they start to rely and care for each other.
I gonna watch out for this! I was just hoping that they will not put any twist and change the entire original concept of Full House!

Kap's Amazing Stories is an informative and educational TV program from GMA Network. It began airing on August 19, 2007. The show features clips from National Geographic's Most Amazing and Astonishing Moments, Totally Wild, and truTV's Most Daring. It is hosted and narrated by Bong Revilla Jr.The show uses at least five clips, ranked from five up to one, like Most Amazing and Astonishing Moments does, and this format continues to Totally Wild and Most Daring, even if those two shows don't rank their videos.
