Dolly is an Inspiration

Who loves Country Music here? Well i do and i am such a big fan! If you are a certified Country Music lover I'm sure you are well familiar with my idol Dolly Parton! I am such a big fan of this lovely country singer. She has a very amazing and unique voice. She's down to earth and known for being a Philanthropist. I have nothing much to say about Dolly Parton. She's amazing and she beautiful even at her age. Yup! It is very undeniable that Dolly Parton still has this beautiful body at her age of 65. Amazing right? Dolly Parton is known for her voluptuous figure and good thing she managed to maintain it until now. Well, good thing to this girl, she's been very open to the public about her beauty secrets and she's not afraid to tell that she engaged with some cosmetic surgeries to maintain her figure.
I remember what she said during her Oprah Interview , "If I see something sagging, bagging, and dragging, I’m going to nip it, suck it and tuck it. Why should I look like an old barn yard dog if I don't have to?" I think this statement really makes sense to me. Why should you let your self look old if there are so many processes out there that can make you look young and feel young right? Dolly Parton is such an inspiration to many and I'm sure there are so many women out there who don't mind undergoing breast augmentation too just to reach their satisfaction in their body. There's nothing wrong with these kind of surgeries as long as you are dealing with trusted surgeons, professionals, licensed and well-trained.
Well, i don't mind getting liposuction or tummy tuck if i see some flabs bouncing in my stomach. Well, I you can't blame me, I am just a man and i want the best for my body and I'm sure most of you feel the same way too.

Old School Music Lover

Are you an old school music lover? I do love listening to old music especially those classical hits from the 70's and 80's. For me, they are the best music era and no artists of today can interpret the songs as great as what the artists of before can do. I grew up listening to my Grandma's radio cassette and we used to have those huge vinyl disk on our living room and are being played using my granny's Phonograph. But of course, we're not using those gadgets today. They are now being displayed in our living room and serve as one of my Grandma's memorabilia.
We may not be using those phonographs today but i can still play those old school music hits through downloading them online especially on ITunes. I used to search them on YouTube too however, the quality of their audio isn't that nice unlike those songs being downloaded on ITunes. However, you cannot access the site if you are residing outside the US unless you have US iTunes Gift Cards with you. These Gift cards will grant you access to the site even you're outside the US territory.
Anyway, I list down some of my favorite Old School artists below.
Doris Day. She's really talented and i was able to watch some of her movies too. I really love her version of "Que Sera Sera" and i don't mind playing it over and over again.
Frank Sinatra. Who Among you is not familiar with this guy and his signature hit, "My Way". So lovely and soothing to hear right?
The Beatles. I guess almost all of us do love the Beatles. No wonder they are considered as the most successful group of all time. Almost all their songs are certified chart topping hits.
Petula Clark. I just love this Julie Andrews look alike lady. I love her "Downtown"
I also love Judy Garland, Shirley Basey, Dione Warwick and more.

Music Lover

I’ve been a certified music lover. I love old school the most, however, some of the songs from that era are not that searchable over the Internet. They’re might be searchable online but most of it are low in quality. ITunes is probably the best online resource of this hard to find tracks but unfortunately, the site is not available for downloads outside US. However, it is still possible for you to access the site even you are not in the US territory. Through the use of US iTunes Gift Card, that are legitimately available at http://www.zhljerry.com, you can now search, shop, download, view and access the ITunes website without being blocked by the site because of your location. This is very ideal for a music lover like me who are looking for high quality audios and music videos!

OPM MONDAY : APO HIKING SOCIETY

Have you watched SOP yesterday? They paid tribute to Philippine's legendary OPM trio~ APO Hiking Society. This inspire me to have them in my OPM entry this monday.
The Apolinario Mabini Hiking Society, later popularly known as Apo Hiking Society or, simply, Apo, is a Filipino musical group. The group had its fledgling beginnings in 1969 at the the Ateneo de Manila high school, comprised of 13 members: Lito de Joya, Sonny Santiago, Gus Cosio, Renato Garcia, Chito Kintanar, Kenny Barton, Bruce Brown, Butch Dans, Kinjo Sawada, Ric Segreto, Goff Macaraeg, Doden Besa, Jim Paredes, and Boboy Garrovillo.
In the span of their professional career, Apo emerged as a principal adherent of the musical movement termed Original Pilipino Music (a.k.a. OPM), a milieu in which their original musical contributions and cultural influence became essential.
In the three decades since that "farewell" concert, the APO has made 22 record albums; hosted several television shows including their own noontime Sunday show "Sa Linggo nAPO Sila" and noontime show from Monday to Saturday "'Sang Linggo nAPO Sila"; and launched hugely successful major solo concerts and countless provincial, dinner, and corporate shows. They have performed in over 50 cities in the United States, in Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Japan to bring Original Pilipino Music to Filipinos the world over. Last December 16, 2009, the APO Hiking Society announced that they are already retiring as a group due to "diminishing creative process." They will be performing series of shows that will start on February 14, 2010 and will end on May, just in time for the elections.

OPM MONDAY ~ PAROKYA NI EDGAR

It's monday! And this is my first time to have this very own portion for this blog. Unlike the usual "Music Monday" where bloggers are free to choose their music, my very own "OPM Monday" (as what the name suggest) will give focus to all Original Pinoy Music. Every Monday, i will feature one Filipino Music Artist.
And for this Monday, December 28 ( just a day after my birthday^^) , I will feature one of my favorite pinoy band ~
PAROKYA NI EDGAR

Parokya ni Edgar is a Filipino band that was formed in 1993 by a group of Ateneo de Manila High School students. The band is famous and most lauded for its original rock novelty songs and often satirical covers of famous songs. The band has since transcended musical genres, varying styles from one song to another - alternative rock to pop rock, funk to rapcore, and so on - while providing comic relief to their listeners.
Naming themselves Comic Relief, the band originally consisted of three vocalists - Alfonso "Chito" Miranda, Jr., Jeric Estaco, Francis Vincent "Vinci" Montaner, and two guitarists, Miko Yap and Gabriel Ignatius "Gab" Chee Kee.
Since their inception, Parokya ni Edgar has enjoyed unmatched staying power in the recording scene of the Philippines. Chito Miranda has served as the band's frontman, filtering the band's output to the taste of its audience.
