ONE LITER OF TEARS is a Japanese drama about a girl who was diagnosed with an incurable degenerative disease at 15, but was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25.

The story begins as Aya prepares for the new semester. Despite being happy, she suffers from slight physical problems, which only her mother seems to notice. However, one day, she falls unconsciously on the floor. After she is sent to the hospital, she is shortly diagnosed with the disease. Despite the fact that she is diagnosed with the terminal illness, she does not lose the will to survive.She still makes friends with others, including her first love, Yuji. She later develops an interest in Haruto. Although somewhat cold, Haruto was still kind to her. Meanwhile, her health continues to deteriorate. Knowing that she will not survive for long, she returns the gift Haruto has given, who discovers the fact when he reads the love letter that Aya gave him.Aya Kitō proved her courage and positive attitude towards an uncertain future when suffering such an illness, spinocerebellar atrophy. The drama spans a decade, during which she graduates from school while her conditions worsen.This drama examines the complex range of feelings that patient, family, friends, and the general community, undergo during the painful process when someone so young is diagnosed with a terminal disease. In doing so, the script considers particularly the domestic situation of caring for an ill relative who requires specialized attention, but it also critiques general attitudes towards the disabled in Japanese society. Every new day for Aya means accepting new obstacles and new losses. Therefore, most importantly, this series commemorates the indomitable spirit who wrote a "record of a girl who was chosen by this strange disease."

Adik Sa'Yo is a Philippine romantic comedy created and developed by Denoy Navarro-Punio for GMA Network. The story of love addiction premiered on June 8, 2009 under the direction of Joel Lamangan.
Joanna (Jolina Magdangal), an NBSB, had always been jealous of her spoiled younger half-sister Karen (Jennica Garcia), this resulted for her to have low self-esteem. When Karen decided to become a runaway bride, her workaholic, eccentric fiancée Carlos (Marvin Agustin) turned to Joan for support. Hiding from her friends and family, Karen meets Ruben (Dennis Trillo), a one-man loverboy, and have a love-hate relationship.

24 ORAS

24 Oras with main anchors Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez is the flagship national network news broadcast of GMA Network. A nightly national newscast which airs in the Philippines. Launched in 2004, it is one of the most watched news programs in the country. The program airs at 6:30 PM PST on Weekdays, and is also simulcast on GMA Pinoy TV. On December 1, 2005, the coverage by 24 Oras of a siege of Camp Bagong Diwa was mentioned in the best news program category in the Asian Television Awards in Singapore.The show relaunched in May 2006 with a new graphics package, and a new set with floating large rear projection screens that allow the anchors to virtually "talk" to correspondents in live feeds. Pia Guanio hosts the showbiz news segment of the program, "Chika Minute". PAGASA's Nathaniel Cruz anchors weather news during severe weather conditions. Joel Reyes Zobel is the voice over talent.

77 CASES CONFIRMED AND CHED SAYS NO TO "CLASS SUSPENSION"

The 2009 swine flu outbreak in the Philippines began on May 21, 2009 when a young Filipina girl first contracted the A(H1N1) virus while in the United States. In the following days, several local cases were reported to be caused by contact with two infected Taiwanese women who attended a wedding ceremony in Zambales. The 10-year-old Filipina girl arrived the country on May 18 and was hospitalized the day after at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Muntinlupa City. On May 21, Department of Health (DOH) secretary Francisco Duque confirmed the case being the first Philippine swine flu case.Thermal imaging equipment were installed at major airports to screen passengers coming from infected countries for flu symptoms. The Philippines may quarantine travelers arriving from Mexico with fever. Also, the importation of hogs from the U.S. and Mexico was manned, and the restriction of swine influenza vaccine use was retracted. As of June 10, 2009, there are 77 confirmed cases in the Philippines.

The day after the confirmation of the first case in the country, the Department of Education (DepEd) indicated that classes will continue to start on June 1 as scheduled. In consulting with Secretary Duque, both he and Education Secretary Jesli Lapus reached a decision to go on with the original scheduled date of the opening of classes. Dr. Tayag also said that there is no reason for class suspension unless there is an actual outbreak in the country.
According to DepEd-National Capital Region director Teresita Domalanta, Secretary Lapus has instructed them to order schools to carry out seminars and launch an information campaign about the symptoms and virus prevention among schools.
As of June 6, 2009, because of the said incident, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) moved the opening of classes for all colleges and universities nationwide from June 8 to June 15, 2009
CHeD Chairman Emmanuel Angeles said that this postponement of classes will enable the students, especially those coming from abroad vacations, ample time to check their health and go on self-quarantine in case of any virus symptoms will exhibit

No to Con Ass

The Constituent Assembly of the Republic of the Philippines more commonly known as CON–ASS will be the joint meeting of both houses of the Congress of the Philippines which composes of the House of Representatives and the Senate that will propose amendments to the Constitution of the Philippines following the passage by the House of Representatives of House Resolution No. 1109 on June 2, 2009 by viva voce in a move to shift the government from the current presidential to parliamentary. All amendments would need the approval of three-fourths (¾) approval of Congress. This is my reason why i joined "NO to Con-Ass"The said approval of House Bill 1109 empowered or gave authority to the Congress to organize a Constituent Assembly, where members of the House and the Senate could vote jointly to amend the 1987 Constitution.

So that is why some of the small and big sectors around the country have joined each other and encouraged individuals to buy a whistle or wear a red ribbon on June 10 and hit the streets in protest against the convening of a Constituent Assembly (ConAss).

HOLE IN THE WALL

GMA Network acquired the rights to the show and premiered its version on April 20, 2009. The show, Hole in the Wall, is hosted by Ogie Alcasid and Michael V, who are portraying their Bubble Gang characters Angelina, the English-speaking spoiled brat, and her long-suffering babysitter Yaya in the show respectively. In the first few weeks of airing, they used celebrities, but the show later also uses actual contestants.
The concept of this game: Contestants play in teams and only win points if they are able to fit though the wall. Points are awarded if the contestant(s) in the round are able to successfully cross the Styrofoam wall completely.

MY NAME IS KIM SAM SOON

The Main Story goes around with Kim Sam Soon.Her main passion and skills are in baking, as she does not have much of a social life, dreams of changing her name (Sam-Soon is considered a very old-fashioned and embarrassing name) and owning a shop of her own. After her breakup with her boyfriend, she managed to land herself in a big French restaurant working as a patiesseur for a rude and angsty 27-year-old man called Cyrus. Both were in bad terms ever since they set eyes on each other. But one day, Sam-Soon finds herself in need of 50 million won (Korean currency, approximately $50,000) to pay for her mother's house. She agrees to be Cyrus girlfriend for that amount. During their pretend dating they slowly become more affectionate with each other. When things seem to go accordingly, Cyrus' ex-girlfriend, Hannah Kim enters the scene and life for Sam-Soon starts getting much worse. Cyrus then realizes that he is happier with Sam-Soon and can't stop thinking about her. He confesses his love to her after she tells him that she hates people who don't confess their feelings towards the person they like. Hannah asks Cyrus to accompany her on her return to the United States. Sam-Soon allows him to go, and he does not return within the promised duration. He soon arrives, and they find out that he has been sending postcards to the wrong address. Sam-Soon and Cyrus attempt to get her pregnant, in order to convince Cyrus' mother into allowing their marriage. The plan fails, but they remain together. Near the very end of the series, Sam-Soon reads a poem from a poster on a bus stop: "Dance like no one's watching. Sing like no one's listening. Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt before. Live like there's no tomorrow.

CHIL PRINCESSES

Myrna Ramos (Kris Bernal) is a straight "A" student coming from a devoted religious family. When Lito started to court Myrna, she immediately fell in love with him. Myrna's family, especially Myrna's father, dislike Lito, causing the couple to hide their relationship. Their roller coaster of emotions led from one thing to another until they slept together. These two teenagers were suddenly flung into the world of marriage when Myrna discovered that she was pregnant. Myrna tried to hold everything together. She defended her decision to stay with Lito to the whole world convincing herself that Lito is with her in every step of the way, but she knew she couldn't fool the world, not even herself. Lito refuses to hold responsibility, especially when Myrna gets a miscarriage, and falls into a depression. Meanwhile Lito starts hanging out with his no good friends again, which leads to an affair with an older woman, Glacilda Bautista (Ara Mina) . She carried the burdens of their love all by herself but Myrna later starts to question Lito's non-existent fidelity. Then Lito comes back & goes to Glacilda with Myrna heart-broken. She then gets promoted with Lito being furious so he comes back to work. Then, Myrna asks herself, is she even supposed to love Lito? Or will she go on all by herself?

Daisy Siete is a daily afternoon drama series topbilled by the SexBomb Girls, an all-girl singing dance group in the Philippines.The program is produced by FOCUS Entertainment Inc. and aired over GMA Network in the Philippines.Seasons 2 to 6 were weekly episodes, where the story is not continuous. Seasons 1 and 7-9 followed a soap opera-like approach. The first seasons were light and the real dramatic highlights were provided in Seasons 7 and so forth.Daisy Siete is now on its 22nd season and is titled “Kambalilong".The series is topbilled by the SexBomb Girls, an all-girl singing dance group of Eat Bulaga fame. It is produced by Joy Cancio, the manager of the group.

EAT BULAGA

Eat Bulaga! is a local noon-time variety show in the Philippines produced by the Television And Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) of Malou Fagar and Tony Tuviera. The program is the longest-running variety show on Philippine television. It also holds the Philippine record of all-time number of live TV episodes.The show is aired on GMA Network at 12pm on Weekdays and on Saturdays.Over the years, many people have predicted that the show would move to another network every time their contract with GMA was close to expiry. But, in interviews with GMA executives led by Atty. Felipe Gozon and Jimmy Duavit - GMA expressed their desire to keep the show for as long as they can as there is no vacant timeslot in other TV station and to let its ratings rise. Joey de Leon on the other hand, is also considered as an important factor to Bulaga's stay in GMA since he has been fiercely loyal to the station and his efforts have been rewarded.Eat Bulaga is considered by many as an institution - becoming a launchpad for many different Filipino comedians and showbiz newbies who have had large success on the show. Tony Tuviera identified the show as a "way of life" when they beat MTV's Tsunami Aid special at the Asian Television Awards.

ANOTHER CONFIRMED CASE OF H1N1 IN THE PHILIPPINES

It was reported that a foreign exchange student of De La Salle University was confirmed to have infected by Influenza A H1N1 Virus. There will be a 10 day Class Suspension and higher officials advice the student not to go to malls as much as possible to avoid any possible outbreak. Overall, there are 22 confirmed cases of H1N1 in the Philippines which is quite alarming. In relation with this WHO was about to consider this as a Global Outbreak , Global Pandemic disease.
