BLACK JACK

Black Jack is an animated series telecast by GMA network. The story was about a doctor named Black Jack who is a medical mercenary, selling his skills to the highest bidder. He is a shadowy figure, with a black cape, eerie black-and-white hair, and a scar across his face. Black Jack cures patients indiscriminately, from common folk, to presidents, to yakuza leaders, though he charges all of his patients absurdly high sums. This has given him a reputation for callousness and greed that he cultivates gleefully. In actuality, Black Jack possesses a complex personal code. He will cure a patient for free if they move him with the story of their suffering; however, he always establishes a patient's willingness to pay beforehand. If Black Jack cannot discover a redeeming story behind a patient, his charges stand. He will make exceptions in exigent circumstances, and may change his mind if proven incorrect in his assumptions. Black Jack gives much of the money he earns to charity, and considers it a favour when he takes the majority of a wealthy patient's money.

I know we are all excited to watch the latest Transformer movie. Well, we all know that Transformer started as an animation series. Transformer Animated Series was aired every Saturday morning at GMA Network.The main story revolves around with The Transformers who came from the planet Cybertron and are divided into two factions: the heroic Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, and the evil Decepticons, led by Megatron. They are able to "transform", rearranging their bodies into common or innocuous forms, including vehicles (the most common form), devices or animals. They can displace mass , combine with one another, and apply synthetic flesh.

SAZER X

Sazer x is a supersentai aired by GMA network every Saturday morning.This series is the third in Toho's Seishin (Star God) series. Compared to the previous two series, this series is more comical, and much more futuristic and technological themed, as opposed to the more fantasy-like elements of the previous series as well. The story happen in the year 2500AD where the Earth has been covered in a smog of eternal darkness, giving birth to a race of Space Pirates that have begun to conquer the galaxy, leaving each planet in ruins. With no other options, the remaining resistance devise a plan to use a wormhole to travel back in time and change history so that the Earth was never consumed by darkness and the future can be saved.This team is known as Sazer-X. Their mission is to collect the Cosmo Capsules; twelve items of great power that are scattered throughout Earth in the year 2005AD. When all twelve are gathered, they grant one wish to their owner; it was this wish that doomed the Earth to an eternity of darkness. Sazer-X must gather all of the Cosmo Capsules before history has a chance to repeat itself.

Bitoy's Funniest Videos is a Philippine comedy show aired every Saturday nights on GMA Network hosted by Michael V., dubbed as the Master of Disguises. Yari Ka! (You've Been Fooled!), the main segment of the show, features various disguises of the host pulling off non-offensive pranks to ordinary people. This is usually done by collaborating with the relatives or close friends of the person to be fooled. The show also contains themed segments of complied videos from America's Funniest Home Videos, with the segment entitled America's Funniest Videos. Filipinos can also send their own funny video clips to be shown on the segment Pinoy's Funniest Videos, where the senders of the winning clips are awarded PHP 10,000, 5,000 and 3,000 for first place, second place and third place, respectively. The winners are voted upon by the studio audience or chosen by a selected judge in absence of the studio audience. Just For Kikays, abbreviated as "J4K", hosted by Diana Meneses, shows ladies performing pranks to people, particularly men.

Case Unclosed is an informative news and public affairs television show in the Philippines aired every Thursday evenings by GMA Network. The show is currently hosted by Arnold Clavio, who previously hosted Emergency. Kara David served as the first host until March 5 when she was replaced by Clavio to host OFW Diaries.Case Unclosed features some of the sensational cases in the Philippines that is up until now is not yet solved by the authorities. The episodes were directed by some award-winning Filipino independent film directors.

Saksi: Liga ng Katotohanan is the late night news broadcast of GMA Network in the Philippines.The newscast is currently anchored by Arnold Clavio and Vicky Morales.Saksi won the Gold Medal for Best Newscast in the New York Festival, becoming one of the few news programs outside the United States to receive the said honor. Arnold Clavio replaced Enriquez on March 15, 2004 when the latter was slated to host the new early evening newscast of the network, 24 Oras with Tiangco. The newscast was reintroduced as Saksi: Liga ng Katotohanan

BUBBLE GANG

Bubble Gang is a sketch comedy television show in the Philippines airing Friday evenings by GMA Network. The show is part of the network's GMA KiliTV block. Currently, the show celebrates its 13th year and is now the longest-running gag show in Philippine television.The show gained popularity when it introduced a segment called Myusik Tagalog Bersyon (MTB) and Music English Version (MEV} in 1996. In late 1998, Bubble Gang came up with an idea to spoof a religious program, Ang Dating Daan into Ang Dating Doon. They originally intended to quote the Bible, but because of religious sensitivities, they just decided to quote English fairy tales and Tagalog nursery rhymes and make fun of it. Today Yaya and Angelina episode is very popular.

SRO CINEMASERYE

SRO Cinemaserye (SRO: Stand Room Only) is the second season title of GMA Network drama anthology Obra, with each stories consisting of 8 episodes. It is set to premiere on March 26 with "Ganti ng Puso", a story about deceit, revenge and love, followed by the suspense-thriller "Suspetsa".Suspetsa is a story that goes around with The three childhood friends have kept their relationship intact and strong through the years. However, their bond is tested when Nina(jennilyn Mercado) and Leonor (yasmine Kurdi) saved Abigail(Nadine Samonte) from being raped by Chris, the mayor's son. Nina and Leonor unintentionally pushed Chris from the bell tower during their fight. Panic-stricken, they decide to abandon his almost dead body rather than report the accident. The news of Chris's death startles the three girls because he was still alive when they left him. Still, they pretended that nothing happened. But five years later, someone begins pestering them. Anonymous messages are sent to the three, and they doubt whether someone else saw what they did to Chris or if Chris really died.

Wow Hayop is an animal show by GMA 7 hosted by Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola as a part of Bilib Ka ba nights by GMA.

RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT

GMA Network bought the rights and revived Ripley's in the Philippines. This time Chris Tiu of the Ateneo Blue Eagles was chosen as host. It is part of the "Bilib Ka Ba? Nights"Block of the Network which premiered August 18, 2008. Ripley's Beleive it or not was first aired at ABC 5 (TV5) hosted by Raymond Bagatsing."Ripley's Believe It or Not! is a franchise, founded by Robert LeRoy Ripley, which deals in bizarre events and items so strange and unusual that readers might question the claims. (Authorities at the company insist that they thoroughly investigate everything and ensure their accuracy before they publish their research. This is emphasized on their television show, where they often say "If you see it on Ripley's, you can bet that it's real"

ONE LITER OF TEARS

ONE LITER OF TEARS is a Japanese drama about a girl who was diagnosed with an incurable degenerative disease at 15, but was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25.

The story begins as Aya prepares for the new semester. Despite being happy, she suffers from slight physical problems, which only her mother seems to notice. However, one day, she falls unconsciously on the floor. After she is sent to the hospital, she is shortly diagnosed with the disease. Despite the fact that she is diagnosed with the terminal illness, she does not lose the will to survive.She still makes friends with others, including her first love, Yuji. She later develops an interest in Haruto. Although somewhat cold, Haruto was still kind to her. Meanwhile, her health continues to deteriorate. Knowing that she will not survive for long, she returns the gift Haruto has given, who discovers the fact when he reads the love letter that Aya gave him.Aya Kitō proved her courage and positive attitude towards an uncertain future when suffering such an illness, spinocerebellar atrophy. The drama spans a decade, during which she graduates from school while her conditions worsen.This drama examines the complex range of feelings that patient, family, friends, and the general community, undergo during the painful process when someone so young is diagnosed with a terminal disease. In doing so, the script considers particularly the domestic situation of caring for an ill relative who requires specialized attention, but it also critiques general attitudes towards the disabled in Japanese society. Every new day for Aya means accepting new obstacles and new losses. Therefore, most importantly, this series commemorates the indomitable spirit who wrote a "record of a girl who was chosen by this strange disease."

ADIK SA'YO

Adik Sa'Yo is a Philippine romantic comedy created and developed by Denoy Navarro-Punio for GMA Network. The story of love addiction premiered on June 8, 2009 under the direction of Joel Lamangan.
Joanna (Jolina Magdangal), an NBSB, had always been jealous of her spoiled younger half-sister Karen (Jennica Garcia), this resulted for her to have low self-esteem. When Karen decided to become a runaway bride, her workaholic, eccentric fiancée Carlos (Marvin Agustin) turned to Joan for support. Hiding from her friends and family, Karen meets Ruben (Dennis Trillo), a one-man loverboy, and have a love-hate relationship.

24 ORAS

24 Oras with main anchors Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez is the flagship national network news broadcast of GMA Network. A nightly national newscast which airs in the Philippines. Launched in 2004, it is one of the most watched news programs in the country. The program airs at 6:30 PM PST on Weekdays, and is also simulcast on GMA Pinoy TV. On December 1, 2005, the coverage by 24 Oras of a siege of Camp Bagong Diwa was mentioned in the best news program category in the Asian Television Awards in Singapore.The show relaunched in May 2006 with a new graphics package, and a new set with floating large rear projection screens that allow the anchors to virtually "talk" to correspondents in live feeds. Pia Guanio hosts the showbiz news segment of the program, "Chika Minute". PAGASA's Nathaniel Cruz anchors weather news during severe weather conditions. Joel Reyes Zobel is the voice over talent.

77 CASES CONFIRMED AND CHED SAYS NO TO "CLASS SUSPENSION"

The 2009 swine flu outbreak in the Philippines began on May 21, 2009 when a young Filipina girl first contracted the A(H1N1) virus while in the United States. In the following days, several local cases were reported to be caused by contact with two infected Taiwanese women who attended a wedding ceremony in Zambales. The 10-year-old Filipina girl arrived the country on May 18 and was hospitalized the day after at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Muntinlupa City. On May 21, Department of Health (DOH) secretary Francisco Duque confirmed the case being the first Philippine swine flu case.Thermal imaging equipment were installed at major airports to screen passengers coming from infected countries for flu symptoms. The Philippines may quarantine travelers arriving from Mexico with fever. Also, the importation of hogs from the U.S. and Mexico was manned, and the restriction of swine influenza vaccine use was retracted. As of June 10, 2009, there are 77 confirmed cases in the Philippines.

The day after the confirmation of the first case in the country, the Department of Education (DepEd) indicated that classes will continue to start on June 1 as scheduled. In consulting with Secretary Duque, both he and Education Secretary Jesli Lapus reached a decision to go on with the original scheduled date of the opening of classes. Dr. Tayag also said that there is no reason for class suspension unless there is an actual outbreak in the country.
According to DepEd-National Capital Region director Teresita Domalanta, Secretary Lapus has instructed them to order schools to carry out seminars and launch an information campaign about the symptoms and virus prevention among schools.
As of June 6, 2009, because of the said incident, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) moved the opening of classes for all colleges and universities nationwide from June 8 to June 15, 2009
CHeD Chairman Emmanuel Angeles said that this postponement of classes will enable the students, especially those coming from abroad vacations, ample time to check their health and go on self-quarantine in case of any virus symptoms will exhibit

No to Con Ass

The Constituent Assembly of the Republic of the Philippines more commonly known as CON–ASS will be the joint meeting of both houses of the Congress of the Philippines which composes of the House of Representatives and the Senate that will propose amendments to the Constitution of the Philippines following the passage by the House of Representatives of House Resolution No. 1109 on June 2, 2009 by viva voce in a move to shift the government from the current presidential to parliamentary. All amendments would need the approval of three-fourths (¾) approval of Congress. This is my reason why i joined "NO to Con-Ass"The said approval of House Bill 1109 empowered or gave authority to the Congress to organize a Constituent Assembly, where members of the House and the Senate could vote jointly to amend the 1987 Constitution.

So that is why some of the small and big sectors around the country have joined each other and encouraged individuals to buy a whistle or wear a red ribbon on June 10 and hit the streets in protest against the convening of a Constituent Assembly (ConAss).

HOLE IN THE WALL

GMA Network acquired the rights to the show and premiered its version on April 20, 2009. The show, Hole in the Wall, is hosted by Ogie Alcasid and Michael V, who are portraying their Bubble Gang characters Angelina, the English-speaking spoiled brat, and her long-suffering babysitter Yaya in the show respectively. In the first few weeks of airing, they used celebrities, but the show later also uses actual contestants.
The concept of this game: Contestants play in teams and only win points if they are able to fit though the wall. Points are awarded if the contestant(s) in the round are able to successfully cross the Styrofoam wall completely.

MY NAME IS KIM SAM SOON

The Main Story goes around with Kim Sam Soon.Her main passion and skills are in baking, as she does not have much of a social life, dreams of changing her name (Sam-Soon is considered a very old-fashioned and embarrassing name) and owning a shop of her own. After her breakup with her boyfriend, she managed to land herself in a big French restaurant working as a patiesseur for a rude and angsty 27-year-old man called Cyrus. Both were in bad terms ever since they set eyes on each other. But one day, Sam-Soon finds herself in need of 50 million won (Korean currency, approximately $50,000) to pay for her mother's house. She agrees to be Cyrus girlfriend for that amount. During their pretend dating they slowly become more affectionate with each other. When things seem to go accordingly, Cyrus' ex-girlfriend, Hannah Kim enters the scene and life for Sam-Soon starts getting much worse. Cyrus then realizes that he is happier with Sam-Soon and can't stop thinking about her. He confesses his love to her after she tells him that she hates people who don't confess their feelings towards the person they like. Hannah asks Cyrus to accompany her on her return to the United States. Sam-Soon allows him to go, and he does not return within the promised duration. He soon arrives, and they find out that he has been sending postcards to the wrong address. Sam-Soon and Cyrus attempt to get her pregnant, in order to convince Cyrus' mother into allowing their marriage. The plan fails, but they remain together. Near the very end of the series, Sam-Soon reads a poem from a poster on a bus stop: "Dance like no one's watching. Sing like no one's listening. Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt before. Live like there's no tomorrow.

CHIL PRINCESSES

'Famous Princesses' (Chil Princesses) is a story about four sisters, Deok-chil, Seol-chil, Mi-chil and Jong-chil, whose father is a retired military man. This humorous drama depicts the real-life stories of today’s families, eliciting both laughter and tears from its viewers. The life of the oldest sister, Deok-chil, whose unloving husband divorces her, shows problems facing remarried couples. The upbeat and confident second sister, Seol-chil, plays the role of a son to her parents and ends up fighting for love against her younger sister, the pretty but selfish Mi-chil, who is the family’s troublemaker. Finally, the youngest of the sisters, Jong-chil, becomes pregnant and marries her boyfriend at a tender age, facing numerous conflicts with her in-laws

Myrna Ramos (Kris Bernal) is a straight "A" student coming from a devoted religious family. When Lito started to court Myrna, she immediately fell in love with him. Myrna's family, especially Myrna's father, dislike Lito, causing the couple to hide their relationship. Their roller coaster of emotions led from one thing to another until they slept together. These two teenagers were suddenly flung into the world of marriage when Myrna discovered that she was pregnant. Myrna tried to hold everything together. She defended her decision to stay with Lito to the whole world convincing herself that Lito is with her in every step of the way, but she knew she couldn't fool the world, not even herself. Lito refuses to hold responsibility, especially when Myrna gets a miscarriage, and falls into a depression. Meanwhile Lito starts hanging out with his no good friends again, which leads to an affair with an older woman, Glacilda Bautista (Ara Mina) . Glacilda seeks attention from Lito, who looks exactly like her late husband, Rafael (Julio Diaz). Daisy Siete is a daily afternoon drama series topbilled by the SexBomb Girls, an all-girl singing dance group in the Philippines.The program is produced by FOCUS Entertainment Inc. and aired over GMA Network in the Philippines.Seasons 2 to 6 were weekly episodes, where the story is not continuous. Seasons 1 and 7-9 followed a soap opera-like approach. The first seasons were light and the real dramatic highlights were provided in Seasons 7 and so forth.Daisy Siete is now on its 22nd season and is titled “Kambalilong".The series is topbilled by the SexBomb Girls, an all-girl singing dance group of Eat Bulaga fame. Eat Bulaga! is a local noon-time variety show in the Philippines produced by the Television And Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) of Malou Fagar and Tony Tuviera. The program is the longest-running variety show on Philippine television. It also holds the Philippine record of all-time number of live TV episodes.The show is aired on GMA Network at 12pm on Weekdays and on Saturdays.Over the years, many people have predicted that the show would move to another network every time their contract with GMA was close to expiry. But, in interviews with GMA executives led by Atty. Felipe Gozon and Jimmy Duavit - GMA expressed their desire to keep the show for as long as they can as there is no vacant timeslot in other TV station and to let its ratings rise. Joey de Leon on the other hand, is also considered as an important factor to Bulaga's stay in GMA since he has been fiercely loyal to the station and his efforts have been rewarded.Eat Bulaga is considered by many as an institution - becoming a launchpad for many different Filipino comedians and showbiz newbies who have had large success on the show. Tony Tuviera identified the show as a "way of life" when they beat MTV's Tsunami Aid special at the Asian Television Awards.

ANOTHER CONFIRMED CASE OF H1N1 IN THE PHILIPPINES

It was reported that a foreign exchange student of De La Salle University was confirmed to have infected by Influenza A H1N1 Virus. There will be a 10 day Class Suspension and higher officials advice the student not to go to malls as much as possible to avoid any possible outbreak. Overall, there are 22 confirmed cases of H1N1 in the Philippines which is quite alarming. In relation with this WHO was about to consider this as a Global Outbreak , Global Pandemic disease.

PLANE CRASH

An airplane seat, a fuel slick and pieces of white debris scattered over three miles of open ocean marked the site in the mid-Atlantic on Tuesday where Air France Flight 447 plunged to its doom.Brazilian military pilots spotted the wreckage, sad reminders bobbing on waves, in the ocean 400 miles (640 kilometers) northeast of these islands off Brazil's coast. The plane carrying 228 people vanished Sunday about four hours into its flight from Rio de Janeiro to Paris.The effort to recover the debris and locate the all-important black box recorders, which emit signals for only 30 days, is expected to be exceedingly challenging.Brazilian military pilots first spotted the floating debris early Tuesday in two areas about 35 miles (60 kilometers) apart, said Air Force spokesman Jorge Amaral. The area is not far off the flight path of Flight 447.The cause of the crash will not be known until the black boxes are recovered
